Analysis of Christ, the lord, is king

Phil Roberts 1957 (Melbourne)

He's always there when e'er we need
He showers us with love,
He is our one and only Saviour
Jesus Christ, our Lord above.

He will not ever forsake us
The Lord is always there,
And when no-one else gives a damn
Our sweet Lord will always care.

He is our friend and mentor
He is our guiding light,
He's always there to hear us out
And help us through our plight.

He is a kind and gracious Lord
And gives us all we need,
Unlike ‘helpers' down on Earth
We do not have to plead.

He gives without us begging him
We only need to pray,
And Jesus always hears us
Whether in the night or day.

So do not ever forsake him
And he will always care,
You only have to talk to him
Aloud or in your prayers.
