Priority vs Motive

While the world crumbles
Into tiny little grains

Some glue themselves together
With music, art, or paint
Some tape themselves up
With family, plants and the mundane
Some build themselves up
With praise, fame and games.

Some learn to manage
Some share their own
Some give to others
But only if the spotlight is shone.

Some share their feelings
Some share their home
Some steal from others
A little more for their own.

Some are afraid
Some are dismayed
Some are deranged
About where this goes.

Some care about the future
Some care about later
Some care about now
A strong need to survive, and how.

Some wear gloves
Some wear masks too
Some isolate themselves
While some run askew

Some care how they live
Some care how they die
Some care how they give
While others ask WHY?

We're all in a crumpled heap
Victims of the unknown
It's a long journey ahead of us
Before we're safely home.
