UNCOMPLETED HERO

THOMAS BRIAN ESTES 1972 (LOUISVILLE, KY)

I don't like to remember
I can see the milestones of my life
Dwindling toward the horizon as I look back and see
The embers of all the vacated relationships of my past.
Some of which I have shared
and am no longer who I was.

Out of true affections I have made a family and they are scattered all over.
How can the heart be reconciled to its feasts of loses.
My face is stung by all my friends
Who have fallen along the way.
But I rise everyday with my will intact
To go on and on,
Because my transformation is not complete.
When I am abandoned I must learn to speak
With everything thing I know
and am in order to belong.
I am tired of living in a world with its unforgiving
Need to change me.
I am ready to look back with firm eye moving forward
To the center of my longing to be loved,
And living day by day with the consequence of love.
It is that desire that has eased the fire and
Let me know I am not unlovable I am just
An Uncompleted Hero
