What is Love, Where is Love

What is love?
Where is love?
It seems as if we all lost it
Mistaken it for something else
But I know it’s there somewhere
perhaps hiding behind a heart of stone
What is love when a baby cries?
A mother wraps her arms around her young
What is love when a newborn puppy,
looks you eye to eye?
What is love?
Where is love?
How many times must the earth cry,
tears that we call rain?
What is love when we liter?
Where is love when we hurt each other?
What is love?
Where is love?
It seems as if it’s a rare gem
Unfounded by blinded eyes
Compassion and loyalty seem fragile
Oh, It’s so shameful
What is love?
Where is love?
