Wailing was the voice
That announced the passing of the pigeon.
Crying and sighing fill the room,
All in pain, all in gloom.

Atmosphere so melancholic; spirit suppressed.
No smile could be sensed:
So gloomy, so pensive;
So dusky, so tensive!

How could it be?
Why should it be?
Was he a living dead
Who won over the brother of death?

The pigeon so sweet
Everyone hails on the street.
His flight to your door
Is sure to bring blessings.
The flapping of his wings
Blows a blessed breeze of smile across your face.
The chirping of his voice
Leaves you singing melody in your heart.

Oh Precious Pigeon,
Why did thou not stay a little longer?
