Who am I?

Alexandra Mercieca 1953 (Floriana)

I tried so hard just to pretend
To be this person I was not!
I smiled and laughed and tried to end
this person I was not.

Being there for all again,
and feeling all alone
is not the person that I am
but the one you want to see.

So here I am a brand new me,
Living as I will,
I love you still but now it's time
To live life just for me

About this poem

It's my time now. I find it hard at times but it needs to happen.
