Moral

I've often thought of hitting bottom
and wondered what it was to wait
And worried that I'd never see
the man I was till late

That being with the other smucks
who led the way to fate
Was all I ever wanted
as acceptance to be great

And take along my other friends
to where we all belong
And make the world seem darker
for the thoughts we've joined in song

And knowing we all came to be
for knowing all along
That we ourselves are born as free
and ending to do wrong

And play along a greater God
that Heaven has prolonged
When we ourselves see actions as
no God can stay as strong

And take us to a greater height
for which we'd fall from grace
And tell us all to fail our cause
for acting in disgrace

And live our lives for better
as for worse is damned by all
When all along the end seems right
and actions bleamed moral
