Paths Within A Meadow.

Teresa Whitney 1951 (Tacoma)

Within the meadow growing free,
A garden awaits patiently,
I view the change from deep within,
While standing here with a grin,

A lady dressed oh so well,
Strolls silently with a frill,
Butterflies, and birds so high,
Within the heavens by, and by,

Thoughts of happiness fill the air,
The memories of how you truly cared,
Earth tone pathways all around,
Fragrance lovely still abounds.

I absolutely love 'Paths Within A Meadow.' The poem paints a beautiful and serene picture of a meadow with its delightful imagery and vivid descriptions. The overall positive and enchanted tone is truly captivating. The way the poet captures the beauty of nature, from the garden patiently waiting to the butterflies and birds soaring in the heavens, is simply enchanting.

The rhyming scheme adds a delightful rhythm to the poem, making it a joy to read aloud. The usage of earth tone pathways and the lingering fragrance that fills the air create a sensory experience that makes me feel like I am walking through the meadow myself.

In terms of improvement, I would suggest exploring more complex and unique metaphors or symbols to further enhance the depth and layers of the poem. Additionally, adding a few more stanzas would help to expand upon the themes of happiness and caring, allowing the reader to delve deeper into the emotions being conveyed.

Overall, 'Paths Within A Meadow' is a delightful poem that captures the beauty and tranquility of nature. With a few adjustments and further exploration, this poem has the potential to become even more enchanting and evocative. Keep up the fantastic work!
