My Garden
thank you. thank you for taking me. you took me and I met her. she showed me ways of thinking. she’s showed me ways of loving, and not just with others but myself. she picked me up and put me on my feet. she wiped my tears and healed my heart piece by piece. but I remember, being a young seed. I didn’t know what was to come for me. my heart was fragile. it was pure, and when I let wander it always found her way to you. I went through day to day, knowing the past, knowing it won’t last but I wanted as much time I could get with you till it was finally done. I don’t know why. we were filled with poison, but it was like a drug and I was addicted. filled with all the lies, filled with all the hate, the poison started to leak. surprise, you broke me. bits of my heart became weak. then it shattered. and all the poison left behind, poured out. the residue stayed for weeks. feeling deserted, hopeless, she came to me. broken, drained and dried up, she got the strength to hold my hand. I vanished. and became her. “stay awhile” she spoke, I thought an angel spoke to me. i began to sprout. this is what I needed. I was evil and she was an angel. all the memories that lingered got caught by the wind, never to be seen again. as I sprouted, the field was empty. I was her. I no longer existed. who am I? what do I do? “grow” she told me. “see how beautiful you’ll be when you blossom” time goes by. she hasn’t talked. I think she left, but it’s fine. I’ll be fine. her voice stayed in my head, I wanted to see who I was. I begin to blossom. and I see even more now. what I thought was a field, was a garden. everything seemed easier. I’m a little different, but I’m not alone. everyone around me doesn’t look the same. my vision changed. the colors that used to be dull are now vibrant. the sun shines right above me. “you made it” I recognized that voice. It was her. praising me. “you’re in a garden full of daisies” I’m a daisy, I thought. the sun began to go down, and I was removed. a man, with a soft touch, I can feel his heartbeat in his finger tips. “you’re safe now” she told me. that was the last thing she said to me. I see a woman. she’s beautiful. the man hands her, me. her heart beat was powerful. it was familiar. she looks at me and I recognize her. “It’s beautiful” she says. he kissed her and said, “It’s your favorite, a rose."
