Pillar Of My Life!

Sleek, strong and toned like you
Warm and cold, both like you
Mindful, peaceful, just like you
Sadly dead and quiet, unlike you
But, it still stands there bold like you
My pillar, now takes the place of you
Hopefully it awaits for my embrace
And my tears that leave on it no trace

Now a ritual every sunday nite
Down in my basement I hug it tight
Thinking of you, missing your presence
I let my heart pour out, in true essence
It’s become my source of peace
My go to buddy to talk to atleast
It’s my shoulder to cry and dream
Helps me breathe and suppress my screams

It repeats the words you’ve told me each time
Words that both kill and make my soul thrive with every chime
It makes me feel that your right here
Giving me strength to move ahead without fear
What more can I ask for as I pray
Inner joy is knowing I can now see and hug you any day
That’s good enough to get me thru my strife
Thank you, for being the pillar of my life

Mahesh Wadhwani

I always apologize for the length of my text as that’s the best way for me to communicate rather than verbally!! Not a man of many words but still manage to doodle when in mood to write, which is rare!! I am not even sure if what I scribble is poetry or even what form or just words that rhyme!! To me writing is an art, a sign of creativity and a means of expression. I don't really think that anyone can just write without any feelings, without having felt, without having lived, experienced or cherished. Whatever one writes, there is some amount of a persons own feelings and presence or of those around them, indicated in the works. So I am thankful to all the people in my life and those yet to come for having given me life, love, happiness and even pain. At-least I have had the opportunity to feel it , live it and express it, whatever it maybe. Cheers! more…
