The Boy Who Made It

They said he was strong,
But he was just in pain.
They said he was loving,
But he was full of hate.
They said he was wise,
But he was full of rage.
They said he was brave,
But he was just afraid.
Yet, he faced his fate.
He embraced his mistakes.
He escaped from his anger.
He learned from the danger.
He regained his honor.
He became like armor.
He was the boy who made it,
The boy who saw his strength and became it.

About this poem

This poem was written early the very morning I am submitting it here. I had the idea a few days beforehand during a period of self-reflection and introspective thought. So, yes, it is about me and thus gives a small glimpse into my past and my mind.
