Perpetuity

Antonio Soler 1986 (New York)

I have a notion of your love -
a lingering concept.
Patiently waiting with no care if I am judged;
Imploring for our further progress.

Unwavering effort to obtain relevance,
because the goal is to dwell in your affection;
becoming pillars to each other's dreams, enhanced
into our reality, committed without question.

My maturity allows me to walk the curved line;
however long it takes.
I will not be a distant memory of a good time
but a worldly lasting foundation to this love of mine.

About this poem

I have lived, recently, with these thoughts of someone dearest to me. Yet the goal is not reached. actually, as much as I desire it, I may never receive my fair opportunity. However, It does not mean I will not continue to seek her.
