Dear Daddy
Dear daddy
Hi daddy can you hear me
I know the clarity isn't great
I just wanted to try to reach you
Before it was to late.
I know things don't make sense right now
Not in the state of mind your in
But please don't see this as an end
When there's a new life to begin.
I know that you feel lost
Like there's no reason to keep on living
But bare in mind how much we love you
Please see the love we keep on giving.
I know your not yourself
And that your not in your right mind
But if your sober long enough
I know our love you'll find.
Ive been here for you from the start
And I've been trying everyday
But there's only so much I can do
Theres only so much I can say.
I wish I had the answers
I wish I could help to get you clean
I wish you'd let us help you
I wish you'd let us intervene.
You say you want your life back
The one before the fight
But that involves getting off the drugs
And doing what is right.
You need to take a step back
Reflect on all that you did wrong
I know it will be hard to do
But you've got this cause your strong.
I know you have it in you
This is a fight you've fought before
Your going to have to make the choice
You must decide which you love more.
On one side is your family
And the ones that you hold dear
On the other is the life your living
Filled with, drugs , regret and fear.
I hope these words ring loud and clear
Because your running out of time
Don't let the last few months you've lived
Be how your remembered and defined.
I'm praying for your everyday
But for now I have go
I love you dad so very much
And I just wanted you to know.
Love Des.
