Lovelight

Ron Stillman 1954 (Brooklyn)

Hear me calling, you shining orb,
out in dark, sister of Earth.
Cast your light into eyes lonely as my howl,
so my mate in hiding see her way to my side.
Rest when dawn beckons,
and know that I am now We, and that tonight's
call of the alone comes from another
whose hope you help turn real.
