Which Way You Going?

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

With nothing running through my mind
And still I couldn’t sleep
Another day, another morning
And another chance to weep

Another chance to do some good
To let my Father use me
Its not yet time to leave this world
Though many may abuse me

But that just might not happen too
If I leave before they get here
And not give them another chance
To do another evil deed

If I die or walk with God
And let his Spirit take me
No one can snatch me from his hands
And he will not forsake me

Now that’s something to think about
And to meditate on today
And then perhaps tonight I’ll sleep
If I haven’t gone away
