The silent girl

Heather Lydia Thornhill 1981 (Manchester)

But when will you look
And what did you see
To scare your meek eyes
Far away from me
But how could you talk
In time to caress me
Like the wait of an angel
To carry us free
And now but you spoke
And your eyes met mine
To pledge your connection
To all of mankind
So where did you fly
And however high
Through the world
With a work force
To make you go blind
And how did it crush you
Without poor me
To hold your hand
Through life eternally
And grey were your locks
So tight to the head
Keeping delicate secrets
On delicate threads.
And shine did your eyes
Of open sea hue
To imprint on my soul
Through and to
Forever create with
Stillness of essence
The beauty from poets
On heavens echo
Smileless of mouth
Utter acceptance
