Delightful demolition
Bright computerized eyes
Censor and scrutinize
They record our actions to use against us
They contribute to all that is unjust
No one can undo the propaganda reprise
How far will they go to ensure our demise?
They wish to silence our thought
Remind us, that of which we are not
Not rich, not powerful
They think we are just controlled and unmindful
They conjure plans of deceit, leave us with no choice
For what is a human without a voice?
They belittle us, distract us, they do not delay
They leave us with nothing left but to obey
They put masks to our mouths and our eyes and watches us stumble
Aroused as they watch our liberty crumble
They strip us of our rights from shore to shore
So Greed, their god will give them more
They sacrifice us “fools”, we embody their distortion
They, the masters of deception and coerción
Deliver us poison coated in sugar, like children we hastily delight
Corrupt our minds, we will be too poor, too feeble to fight
WHO, they claim they help, they destroy
It is not safety, but demons they employ
Keep us peasants in darkness, eyes engorged
By keeping the media and the news forged
Ashes to ashes, but we will not fall down
Our numbers will rise and they be left to drown
We will rise like the phoenix, defenders of freedom
The chains will be broken from their tyrannical serfdom
We are not defenseless livestock for the taking
We are The People, that are finally waking
Do not allow them to steal your rights from you
For we are the true contenders of virtue
About this poem
Like vultures they wait to prey on our “ignorance”.
