My Scars

The scars of my heart have many dents, holes, and cracks.
There's too many broken pieces that will never grow back
Wounds of my past have the deepest depths,
Where the worst of it all is memories I'll never forget.
These scars are evidence that show a lot of pain.
Yet, they are my life's lessons I'll never go through again.
I'll wear these scars with pride,
They made me who I am today.
It shows just how strong I am.
I can face anything that comes my way.

About this poem

I wrote this poem because it reflects the pain and scars of my heart from everything I have been through in my life. It also reflects just how strong I am to be able to put it into words and the bravery I have to be able to express it.
