Reflections

Reflections of the waters

How do they sparkle bright

By the moonlit shores, the ripples

stores, a soulful glowing night

Oh see the many stars,

that sparkle beautifully at night

The moon that shines so carefree

and the fireflies glowing bright

Oh see the lighthouse beaming

A fire-pit that’s gleaming bright

the spark of ash in flight

A lantern’s flames left in the night

It is no wonder, no mystery

that even in the night

reflections show a history

of things that give it life

About this poem

This poem is about a time I spent gazing at the ocean during sunset. That, even in the darkness, there is peace, beauty, and existence of life.
