I Love You
I Love You
Sometimes we take for granted, the ones we love the most
We forget what made us partners and ensured that we were close
The bubbles of excitement when we had our first romantic kiss
What made us love each other, that forged our wedded bliss
Let's pause a while and all reflect what brought us to this place
That started many years ago, memories we embrace
A cheeky smile, a witty phrase may have been the start
Of sleepless nights, emotions, aching of the heart
How did we meet, what did we say, when did feelings first appear
A fleeting glance, soft spoken words, loving and sincere
The electric touch, the chemistry, excitement, anticipation
A bursting heart, fast beating pulse was love our destination
A soft caress, her perfumed scent, the twinkle in her eye
Go back in time and reminisce, it was sad to say goodbye
Remember all those good things, the accentuated feeling
The cuddle and the tender kiss, the touch that left you reeling
Go back in time and reminisce that’s why you’re here today
Celebrating years together, ups and downs along the way
Remember all those good things be grateful you’re together
Hold each other tight and treasure her forever.
Go back in time and reminisce, cast your mind back and reflect
All those treasured memories, that take a lifetime to collect
Remember all those good things, are you smiling as you do?
Embrace her now, look in her eyes and whisper “ I love you”
