Winter Solstice

See the planets spinning round,
joyful to the fanfare sound,
praise be to the moon in flight,
Equinox or Solstice night.
Sing along to the darkest time,
comets all and skies sublime,
winter Solstice shortest day,
brings a change that's here to stay.
Shortest  day but not a loss,
Clouds that burst with joy because,
a change from old to new now starts,
days grow longer darkness parts.
Praise the moon in silver flight,
Solstice day on darkest night,
Selene or Lah your name's are known,
now change the world and move alone.
Capricorn's Tropic here to see,
northern hemisphere to be,
now let the sun inch by degree,
peel the bells and set us free.
Free to dance with star gaze time,
the cosmic interstellar rhyme,
shortest day and time of change,
praise the Sun in aura strange.
Winter Solstice circle round,
gather with the babbling crowd,
way below the Christmas lights,
Solstice days and Solstice nights.
Sing the song of cosmic flight,
strike up the band with all your might,
dancing, shouting, revelry,
Selene or Lah our moon time be.
