I Just Thought

I just thought that you were that one friend that I could count on.
I just thought that after all those years we could be friends.
I just thought that you would be there for a little while longer.
I just thought that we could have a relationship like I had longed for so long ago.
I just thought that it wouldn't be an issue to tell you my feelings.
Just thought... and I shouldn't have.
Only you know why we aren't talking anymore.
How can you just not give me a reason of why?
Never am I going to trust what you say.
Soon I will get over the heartbreak.
I will always wonder now what if.
Leaving you behind will not be an easy thing to do.
Losing you was never a thought but now....
Soon I will be me again and won't give you another thought.
I just thought you were different, but I guess not.
