The Healing Sound

Srishti Dubey 2005 (Kanpur)

Not every sound touches my deep,
And is able to sense my grief.
But there is one, listening to whom my tears peep,
And she is the only reason of my belief.

In this world, where words are cheap,
Her words give me relief.
Even louder than the horn of jeep,
Her voice is like, the flattering of leaf.

No matter how sad I am, she makes me sleep,
For her, smallest of my pains are brief.
Her love grows like the growing creep,
For her, worst of my noodles are better than the beef.

She has taught me how to leap,
In the hardest of times, she stand stiff.
She's master at making the problem beep,
In the roughest of waters, she handles the reef.

She's melodious, even when her eyes weep,
She can classify good or bad, by a single sniff
She is wise at healing with the love she keep,
She is only, the reason of my belief.
