Stars Bright



When stars are shining bright
I feel like so tonight
Our wives will be
Imagine, see
A good deal very sad and tight

To all our pictures true
And now as we sail blue
We will be done
As wars are won
And all will then undo

The poem was first thought of by a group of sailors and a tale of what the sky looks like in the night when stars are shining bright, first published in 1946 after World War II.
