Help Me Daddy
HELP ME DADDY
Daddy please say you’ll help me grow
For I will learn from what you know
Sharing all your wisdom sound and true
Daddy I’ll grow by watching you
Beau was the gift God gave to us
To fill our lives with joy and love
A child so sweet so innocent
A baby girl I know heaven sent
Daddy please say you’ll help me grow
For I will learn from what you know
Sharing all your wisdom sound and true
Daddy I’ll grow by watching you
I’d hold her close in both my arms
To keep her safe and free from harm
And as she looked in to my eyes
I swore she heard what I said inside
Beau you’ll grow and make me proud
You’ll stand head tall in the largest crowd
The time will come I must set you free
Unlock life’s door for you’ll have the key
As years passed by our baby grew
And old ways changed into something new
She learned to walk and talk with me
And started asking how her life should be
Daddy please say you’ll help me grow
For I will learn from what you know
Sharing all your wisdom sound and true
Daddy I’ll grow by watching you
I held back tears as I tried to say
You’ll have children of your own someday
Giving all your love to another man
Then I know you will understand
The big day came for our little girl
To leave our home for another world
As we walked the aisle on her wedding day
Through tears of love I could hear her say
Daddy you have taught me well
You picked me up only when I fell
You gave all your wisdom sound and true
And daddy I’ll never stop loving you
