MY HEART HURTS

Ansumana m sandi 2008 (Freetown)

My heart hurts
STANZA 1
My heart hurts,
Even though I act tough,
I can still feel the fresh cut.
I know you don’t want to tell me but,
Tell me so you can leave my thoughts.
STANZA 2
My heart hurts,
Even though I feel the cut,
I’m trying to cover it up.
So this is what it means to love,
Without the fear of your heart been broken,
How I wished someone cared, someone who can share my burden.
STANZA 3
My heart hurts,
Even though I act strong,
Deep down I know something is wrong.
It keeps playing in my mind like a song, that to me you don’t belong.
STANZA 4
My heart hurts,
Even though it pains me to say it,
But, if you are done then move on.
If you are sure I’m not the one,
The find someone else, let’s stop fooling ourselves.
STANZA 5
My heart hurts,
Even though I didn’t kiss you,
I’m really going to miss you.
Even though I’ve seen you I can’t believe that this is you.
I’ve never loved anyone since pre-school,
But I thought you were the one.
STANZA 6
Even though I’m stressed, I still love you non- the less.
It not about the length of time spent or the places we went,
But the quality time we spent.
It’s ok if you want to breakup, and I wish you good luck.
