Why?

Why? Just why,
I thought we'd be together forever, so why?
Is my love and passion isn't enough for you?
Please explain the reason why say this suddenly out of the blue.
Tell me why,
Why did our love end up like the withered petals that scatters in the sky?

Promises are meant to be broken,
One of the sayings that i believe in.
But i didn't expect it to be reality,
Memories when we we're lovely and happy,
Shattered by the one who created them so mercilessly.
I still await your response very patiently.

Please answer very truthfully,
Our love that seemed it was going to reach eternity.
But i guess it's true that there is no forever.
There's just pain, happiness, sadness and love more unrealistic than a fiction character.
Where did i go wrong,
For our story that was suppose to last overlong?

The answer you've been waiting for,
The truth behind it all.
Mistakes happen from time to time,
But mine was rather unforgivable even if pigs fly.
Falling inlove is my greatest sin,
Punishment is death akin.

You're the only that I cherished so genuinely,
So I'll make sure to protect you wholeheartedly.
My chest aches as i leave knowing you'd be alone,
But my decision has been set in stone.
I hope you do forgive me for being selfish,
I just want you to live on because your the one that I'll forever cherish.

This is where our storyline ends,
These are the words I held back,
As i was leaving too soon,
But I was enchanted to meet you.
You'll always stay at my memory,
So live your life to the fullest and don't worry about me.
