I Thank You
I came in pain
Unable to cope
Unsure what to do
You were walking the shores
Quiet and alone
You appeared calm and at peace
You had such a glow
Your extedned a twig and I was puzzled for sure
How could a twig pull me from this mire?
With a voice so calm and soft yours words rang true
I had my doubts but I followed through
I embraced that twig and focused on your face
It didn't bend
It didn't break
I was pulled from that mire
I was pulled from the lake
You went on your way and I on mine
I cling still to that twig that is connected to a vine
The vine is a thread that weaves through my life
Teaching me what I didn't know
Reminding me to
Notice
Relax and
Let go.
