Blind from Birth
Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)
If you’re lazy at work you’ll be lazy in bed
But it doesn’t really matter; it’s all in your head
Your pleasure in this world is all that you crave
You’re lost in yourself; you can’t see you’re a slave
Your ears are not opened and your eyes cannot see
What you’re so busy chasing has been given to me
The freedom you seek; you will lose in the end
Because you don’t seek Jesus as a lover or a friend
How hard it shall be for you in these last days
As you wander the earth all confused and dismayed
All the glory you sought to make it your own
Will be crushed and defused at the foot of his throne
