Falling Up

Turning another page to story our past,
Be struck by how much hasn’t changed.

The feelings and memories of glowing anticipation,
Welcomed silence celebrates one moment to the next.

An ending comes near to many, and some don’t make it,
Hearts and falling tears keep us up enough to reach out.

A glisten of hope from a small interaction,
Passing the year finishes with more leftovers to feel.

About this poem

This poem is about making it through the holiday season year after year, acknowledging that pain and death are more accented and to find hope by 'falling up."
