Imagine

Imagine
By Gypsie-Ami Offenbacher-Ferris

Imagine if every joint
in your entire body
Hurt
constantly

Imagine them stiff
in hot searing pain
Frozen
fire

Imagine sharp jabs
penetrating every muscle
Breath
stilted

Imagine teeth decayed
Unredeemable destroyed
Removed
barren

Imagine hunger cravings
mouth salivating eating mush
Frustration
anger

Imagine a dreaded virus
latches on to weakness
Debilitating
pain

Imagine all this
together at once
Imagine
me
