Thessalonica, Second Time

Douglas Blair 1951 (London)

I write this one
To settled jangled
Nerves, (from Athens.)
Strange reports
Enter your ears.
Have you missed Him, the Lord?
You the ones full of good works
Resulting in Peace
And victory.
Two things must first
Show on the Horizon.
A general deadening apathy
And falling back.
The arrival of the Man of Sin.
Daniel spoke of him as Abomination.
Opposing all goodness or
Mention of the Christ.
(he is anti-christ).
Have you noticed any of same?
Nope?
Then calm down, sit down, rest.
Rehearse Jesus, and his ethic and Earth Walk.
Doing the things of your notoriety.
Blessing me, your Father in the Faith.
I will never grab at your shekels.
Never stop supplicating for you.
Love and Grace…Paul.

In Paul’s first letter to Thessalonians, he introduces the assurance of the Rapture or catching away of the church into the clouds. Chapter four. Ridiculous, Perhaps, but God, the never erring, promised it. Powerful enough to make it happen. Second Letter reassres, as does this poe.
