Patience Leads To Love

Nelly Hendrix 1991 (Bayamon)

A boy once sought love in all the wrong places,
Chasing after hearts that wore emotional braces.
He longed for affection, but all he found,
Were women who kept him constantly on the ground.

But still he hoped, and still he tried,
For love is a game that he'd not yet denied.
He held on to patience, like a beacon in the dark,
And waited for the one who would leave his heart unmarred.

Through trials and errors, he found her at last,
A woman who loved him and held him fast.
She taught him that love takes time and care,
And that true love is always worth the wait, out there.

Now he holds her close, and never lets go,
For he knows that patience was key in the love he chose.
He's grateful for the journey, however long and tough,
For it led him to the one who completes him, heart and soul.
