Escape

I look for paradise
I look at the animals
I look at them as people
I look for you
I look at how you are there for me
I look for the light on the landscapes
I look for the perfect amount of light on the horizon
I look to it for memories and hopes
I look to it for feelings of peace
I look for paradise
I look for the butterflies to finish their dance in spring
I look at expressions of inner joy
I look for signs of a patient God
I look at the flowers to astound at our will
I look for waters flowing into the land
I look for fruits of his earth to settle my hunger
I look through aids that make the trees clearer and the clouds closer
I look for spirit and how it hints at its newfound heaven
I look for higher thoughts from higher thinkers
I look for paradise
What do you look for?
