Wicked Humans Need Enemies

Jeffrey Powell 1979 (Pittsburgh, PA)

When strong, appear weak
if preparing for war.
When forgetting the Tao,
make events to abhor.

The blackouts expound
crises– lay of the land.
Contracting the common,
the supply and demand.

Indefinite peace
is extended cease-fire.
Sinister strategies
intensify quagmire.

Super armies must
nefariously cause
the stark, needless schisms;
repeat the Act of Dawes.

What's in the cards will
surpass the Holocaust;
coming tribulations:
Desolation unglossed.

When secret societies
mandate a slave race,
observe as your neighbors
are wiped off Earth's face.

Jeffrey Powell

A bit of an introvert, Jeffrey enjoys arranging words and dabbling in poetic forms as an outlet for expressing his thoughts, feelings, and observations. He tends to play by his own rules and darts in and out of the civilized world, as avoiding the conventional gathering is more his style. Jeffrey lives with his fraternal twin whom he enjoys sharing a laugh with at the opportune time. more…
