My Thoughts To You

I want to write something to remember me by,
Not something sad to make you cry.
I want you to remember me full of grace,
Even those times, I fell on my face.

The laughter, the the gladness, the bright shine in my eyes,
Not the days filled with sadness, sorrow, and sighs.
Oh, my sons, take me with you wherever you go,
To hold onto those memories and let them flow.

Flow onto others, and your little ones too.
One day you may be writing to them, as I am to you.
Something that comes straight from the heart.
Something that tells them you’ll never be apart.

No matter how near or far you are,
You will always remember them as they are.
Their little hands you held so tight,
The blanket they needed to sleep at night.

As I am your Mom, proud as can be,
You three sons are heroes to me.
Kindness-love-empathy,
Remember Always God gave you to me.
