I Am the Lord

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Fear not I say, for I love you so,
Though this world might toss you to and fro,
I will not leave you! Wait for me there!
That my love for you I might always share.

I do not see as this world sees.
You really need only wait for me.
My love is compassion and mercy and grace.
Believe and you’ll speak with me face to face.

From the darkest depths of my soul I share,
Because He came and met me there.
