No Temptation

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man
Only the ones that Satan by his will has planned

They are not unpredictable, nor should they stand in your way
Everything that he does is the same to this very day
Men should not be surprised at this; he mocks the God we love
Put these things into their place below and worship God above
The God we worship is not proud; He humbled Himself for us
And everything we do therefore, should be righteous and just
The Lord Almighty loves you and wants you to be His own
If you will glory in Him, in you His glory will be shown
Only the foolish wander forever and never returns to Him
No one else in the world can teach you, exactly how to swim
