POETRY IS MY PASSION.

Oluwasegun Ajayi 2002 (Osogbo)

POETRY IS MY PASSION.

Oh! tell me why I will not love you?
What on earth will take your place
in my heart?
Oh my dear passion, my lifelong ambition, my beautiful work of art.
How do I begin, where exactly do I need to start?
To tell of my love for you, how can I make others to understand, how do I draw your chart?
Should I tell of the company you give, when family and friends depart?
When the journey of life set us all apart.
You are the only one I see, you were my other part.

Shall I talk about the free flow of pronunciation that is enjoyed by the reader when poetry  is dressed with a lot of
alliteration?
Or the beautiful and melodic rendition of rhymes infused by a poet in writing, ingest and digest enjoyably by the reader reading through the intentional repetition of a phrase  or sentence in between the lines and along the verses.

What a great volume of joy to the writer and an earnest elation of emotion  enjoyed by the reader.
When writing and reading a piece of literature is fun.
The creative use of words literally called pun.
For the author standing firmly on poetry action was seriously playing with words.
Can you imagine such a clear cut contradiction, how can you be serious while playing?  ("seriously playing" Oxymoron)

Standing on the poetry action in writing a poet can see what the eyes can not see.
Have you seen a person laughing and highly lighted after been insulted, isn't that an irony?
That is what a poet can do with his pensive  pen.
You had better not try that, if you don't have the power of poetry action in your possession.
Poetry has given my writing skill a prolific progression if you can give yourself to  learning it with enthusiasm and in total submission, you will know why I have such a great affection and passion for poetry.

Every poet is a writer but not every writer is a poet.
A poet is a prophet, we poets must be respected.
A poet is a seer, we poets must be reverenced.
A poet is a god, we poets are worthy of adoration. (That is an exaggeration).

I am a warrior and poetry is my weapon, a powerful word sharper than any two edges sword.
Would a soldier not cherished his weapon that saves him in the days of trouble when his foes wages wars against him?
I am a king and poetry is my crown, what will a ruler trade with his throne?

Which is why poetry is my passion, being a poet my lifelong vision.
As "The  Pioneer Poet" giving instructions and well thought out predictions while putting pen to paper with right diction.
I love poetry like my eyes, for with it I can see the invisible.
It is the apple of my eyes, with poetry the echoing sound of a voiceless child is audible.
Oh!  how much I love poetry like a mother love her sucking baby.
