Present tenses and whims.

Just one more day is slipping by,
Filled with routine and daily chores.
Look, even though I have survived,
I have had hopes for something more.

Calendar pages are flipped by the wind.
And while the mirror image ages,
Complexion and smiles get slowly dimmed,
Letting sorrows and grievances take center stage.
