Boy

Annette Iacono 1967 (Brooklyn)

In the park where I dwell I met a boy I love so well he took his love away from me now he's gone and has set me free he took a girl and put her on his knee and told her things he never told me now I know the reason why the girl was much prettier than I I ran home to cry on my bed not a word to my mother I said my father came home late that night and searched for me left and right he ran to my door and knocked it down and he saw me hanging above the ground he took a knife and cut me down and on my dresser a note he found did my grave and dig a deep with marble Stone from head to feet and all my grave I want a dove to show the world I died for Love
