Fear

Debilitating
Immobilizing
Got you stuck in your feelings
Fear
The kind of terror that shakes you
Then breaks you
Shatters world views
Masterminds fake news
Terror.
And fear
Keeps you up at night
Anguishing over not doing things right
Is it up that's down?
Left, right, black or brown?
Seems like too many choices
How can I make them with how little my voice is?
Fear
Wreaking havoc on my mind
No place in a world that isn't mine
Safely emoting all feelings as fear
Anger and betrayal are fear
Despair and sadness are fear
Helpless and hopelessness become fear
The fear of the unknown, fear
Fear of what is different, fear
Haven't we become so very cavalier hiding behind our fear?
Stemming from the ambiguity of a future unclear
Becoming a state of existence to revere
Where can we possibly go from here?
Fear
