Last Prayer
Now I lay me down to rest
Lord each day I did my best
Now that I’ve died because of society
This new life is always where I wanted to be
I lost my life in my sleep, cause the violence wouldn't seize
I’m grateful to the Lord for giving me peace
At a young age I understood
All God wanted was for me to be good
Like a bird I have found my perch
And no longer do I have to search
For a world with no violence
One with happiness and at times nothing but silence Mom, no more need to cry
For the Lord, has me here by His side
I know you love me and you care
But being saved and with Jesus was my last prayer.
