Possessing Everything

Acrostic # 5

H ow can you live with yourself anymore?
A drift in your wealth and ignoring the poor,
V erifying you haven’t been born of the Spirit,
I gnoring your conscience, you don’t want to hear it,
N othing you acquire in this world really matters,
G reed rules your life and you keep getting fatter!

N ot believing the Lord is destroying your pearls,
O n your forehead and hand is the mark of the world,
T he grace that was offered to all, you refused,
H is love and His mercy is what you abused,
I n the day of His favor you were offered forgiveness,
N ow on the last day you just missed your deliverance,
G o out from His kingdom into darkness again!

Y ou most prideful of women and cowardly men,
E nabled by the world you’ve become ineffective,
T he future is certain and your judgment reflective!

P ossessing the things that He loves and commands,
O n the cross grace was offered, open arms, outstretched hands,
S tripped, beaten and spit on, insulted as He died,
S atan thought he had killed Him till God gave His reply,
E verything in the world had been stacked up against Him,
S o He gave up His body and did not resist them,
S alvation comes only through the grace of our King,
I t’s by the blood of Jesus and that’s why we sing,
N othing in this world could compare to His riches,
G iving them to us is one of God’s fondest wishes!

E very life on this earth is surely worth protecting,
V igilance is the key we will not be rejecting,
E ven when the sun has set and the moon is now reflecting,
R emembering His holy words, not one of them rejecting,
Y ou died for us and gave us life and it’s had its affecting,
T oday is the day of writing them and evermore reflecting,
H is love in this way, we know, we surely weren’t expecting,
I n everything we seek to have His love from us projecting,
N ow we go out into the world, this dark and gloomy place,
G iving the people of this world a taste of Your wonderful grace!
