These Walls

I've been going it alone
Wondering why I'd
tackle these things
all on my own
Suffering a million
heartbreaks in my head
Just to guarantee
That by the end
My soul wont end up dead
Oh and just like a song
There's nowhere
That I could go wrong
If I choose to sing instead

No this house can't fall
When you had
no part in
building up these walls
I made a home
And not from tears
from strengths you swore
Could never stand alone
Every moment that I fear
I know I've won

If ever I find you
I know the treachery
would be through
You're like the sun
There's not a single place
I could run
And not find you
But the coldest
Darkest place I ever knew
And its still a miracle to me
you grant that too

No this house can't fall
When you had
no part in
building up these walls
I made a home
And not from tears
from strengths you swore
Could never stand alone
Every moment that I fear
I know I've won
I know I've won

This blood sweat and tears
Is mine
And I don't care
what I was made of
Before this heart laid bare
You can't have that too
It's shared
Cross these lines
If you dare
Though you'll be sorry
And that's the only promise
I can keep

No this house can't fall
When you had
no part in
building up these walls
I made a home
And not from tears
from strengths you swore
Could never stand alone
Every moment that I fear
I know I've won
I know I've won
