❤️.....but I learned how to
meditate with a tree
to heal
under Nature's Canopy
teary eyes absorbed
by this leafy presence
a love affair
with a silent tree
speaking to me
of Infinity.......❤️

About this poem

I wrote this poem after reading an article about how to meditate with a tree, in this case my favorite tree outside my window. Looking at the tree fills my heart with Love.

Paul Grundy

I love going out into Nature, even if it is to visit trees outside my window, and the occasional wild animal sighting. I planted a beautiful Maple Blaze tree several years ago for which I have a spiritual relationship. I was going through a lot of health problems, as well as some sadness over recovery issues and personal relationships. I am a member of a poetry group with the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado and a Mindfulness Group at Jefferson Unitarian Church. I play violin and viola now occasionally, enjoying improvisation of Jazz, Blues and some Celtic, but eclectic is my name....... more…
