Until We Meet Again

Reminiscing those days you left me alone,
The days you ignored me,
All those fruits I received from you,
The letters I received, heart breaking “sorry”s
For sure they’d be alive - not forever
When I remind myself that I was not what you wanted me to be
As each day passes as fast as light
The feeling of pure,pure friendship,
That feeling of wanting to fight,
Just because it seemed peaceful.
The days of feeling disgusted with myself.
As we still run to each other facing the opposite sides,
Never realizing what we were meant to be
Unable to follow you,
And when you’re miles ahead ,
I’m further away
Let’s meet again where the chains end
Until we meet again.

About this poem

Friends can be annoying and joyful to be with , but when you realize that you weren’t friends at all , it hurts , I wrote this poem to my friend who left the country a week ago, she told me that we weren’t close, so why bother telling about it to me earlier. It was as if my whole life was a lie , we’ve been together since young , and all that years of friendship ended up being nothing… I understood that we had different thoughts, while I thought of her as a friend , she didn’t… we were just walking in the opposite direction while I thought we were on the same path.
