Shifting

Shifting
Especially with a stranger.
Or a bar girl.
Or a lover who intends to stay.
Even better in the long run.

There's nothing quite like kissing,
With lips interlocking tight,
Feeling the tension and the fire,
As you hold each other through the night.

It's the dance of love and danger,
Electricity sparking in the air,
A raw and primal urge,
That leaves you gasping for air.

The taste of whiskey on your tongue,
A hint of smoke and sweat,
As you explore each other's bodies,
With a passion you won't soon forget.

Lips meeting, electric sensations
A dance of passion, a silent conversation
Tasting sweetness on your tongue,
Lingering kisses, love unafraid to be sung

Our mouths explore, a wild fire igniting
Whispers of desire, a yearning ever-growing
Lost in the moment, time falls away
Your kiss, my addiction, a want I cannot sway

Softly, slowly, a gentle caress
Fingers in my hair, passion to impress
Heartbeats quicken, a feverish pace
Aching for you, wanting nothing out of place

Inhibitions gone, a hunger deepening
Bodies melding, a passion unrelenting
Kissing you, a fantasy come true
Lost in this moment, nothing else will do

Breathless, heart racing, I captivate
A moment in time, a memory so great
Kissing you, indescribable and divine
A love that's eternal, forever intertwined.

And even after it's over,
The memory lingers on,
Of the way you kissed so deeply,
Until the break of dawn.

Let's keep on shifting,
Until we're breathless and weak,
Drunk on each other's love,
With a hunger we can't speak.
