The Blessed

The Blessing 1948 (Brentwood)

The Blessed

Blessed are those who have found love
Everlasting from above
Never asking for much they say
Just to be with him each day
Finding hope in simple things
Never wanting diamond rings
Living under peaceful skies
No one could this joy despise
So hard to find that perfect heart
Entwined together from the start
Caring, sharing with such grace
In this green and peaceful place.

About this poem

I write many poems that just come to me. This one is for my son and his new girlfriend who live in the quietness of Salt Spring Island and love nature equally.
