To BeThankful
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Make a joyful noise to the Lord,
Serving the Lord with your gladness;
Singing to Him in one accord,
Displaying of your thankfulness.
Know that your Lord is our God,
It’s He who made Heaven and earth;
That is why we honor and laud,
His breath of life to give us birth.
He is the shepherd of the sheep,
As His flock, we are His people;
To watch over us as we sleep,
Glorified within His temple.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving,
Blessing Him in His courts with praise;
Thankful that we have been living,
Worshipping throughout our days.
Because we know that God is good,
For His love endures forever;
As His steadfast faithfulness would,
Always remains and not sever.
